Risk Managers’ Survey: Verlingue rated highly!

Risk Managers’ Survey: Verlingue rated highly!

According to the 2022 Risk Managers’ Satisfaction Survey – Property and Casualty Insurance Brokerage1, unveiled on Thursday 2 February by Golder&Partners at the 30th AMRAE meeting in Deauville, Verlingue is one of the brokers that most appeals to Risk Managers, ranking second based on some thirty criteria.

This second place confirms the Verlingue approach and model

The survey, which is conducted every two years, asks corporate Risk Managers about their expectations regarding brokers. It has recognised Verlingue’s approach by awarding it the second highest overall satisfaction score: 7.84/10. Verlingue even came out on top of all the brokers interviewed on sixteen of the twenty-six criteria (including technical criteria (understanding the business/coverage needs) and relational criteria (availability of contacts, assistance in the event of a claim)).

The Risk Managers’ responses show a change in their expectations and highlight new priorities. Verlingue is particularly valued for its understanding of companies’ operations and its feedback to insurers, for its excellent consulting services and for its international claims management. This last aspect is now a clear selection criterion in favour of Verlingue.

“This ranking recognises Verlingue and its teams for their availability, responsiveness and expertise, as well as for their international positioning. This is an aspect that Verlingue will continue to focus on and invest in to achieve ever greater satisfaction and recognition from its clients”, says Benjamin Verlingue, Director of Verlingue’s international subsidiaries and Deputy General Manager for Development for the Adelaïde Group.

Verlingue’s support, availability, and ability to understand and convey the need for coverage are also aspects underlined by the Risk Managers. More generally, Verlingue’s personalised approach, proximity and model itself were valued.

“This result is also proof of the relevance of the independent, family-owned and European model that Verlingue has implemented to meet companies’ needs. It is precisely this model that enables Verlingue to provide tailor-made solutions to each of its clients and that must be developed further”, explains Gilles Bénéplanc, CEO of Verlingue.

The results confirm Verlingue’s business plan, which is based on trust and values shared by all employees. All of Verlingue’s resources and skills can be harnessed to serve a client or a project. This survey reveals the commitment, professionalism and integrity that set Verlingue apart in the market. Verlingue will therefore continue to strive to progress and innovate in the service of its clients, with humility and high standards.

Key figures regarding changes in Risk Managers’ expectations

1 – Risk managers’ main expectation is the ability to call on P&C specialists (it was only in tenth place in 2020).

2022 – Two identical expectations remain in the top six between 2020 and 2022: technical expertise remains paramount (specialists in property and casualty, understanding the business, harnessing feedback) as does responsiveness.

3 – Remuneration is rising in importance and ranks third in a context of rising insurance prices (it was only the 19th criterion in 2020).

95% – 95% of Risk Managers prefer to work with brokers rather than directly with insurers, a preference that is increasing (93% in 2020).

2 – Two expectations still need to be better met: the capacity to innovate and adapt to the needs of the company and the management timeframe. Two “weaknesses” already observed in 2020.

The willingness to adjust cover, already observed in 2020, is continuing and even increasing, but interest in Cyber and emerging risks remains.
